Hi my name is Yamini and I am the creator of THEHOMEDREAM, a decorating store, inspired by my experiences about the thing I love doing most- Home Interiors. My products are budget conscious, not striving to have a home like something out of a glossy magazine, but a real, lived-in home, comfortable and cosy. Creating a place where your family feels loved, safe and relaxed. I’m an architect by qualification who finds contentment in decorating, home-making and organisation.

While I have many amazing ideas about my store, at the moment THEHOMEDREAM features modern, fresh, chic and affordable knitted cushion covers, handmade decorative pillows, knitted throws and handwoven kilim rugs that are made in India.The store has wonderful patterns, textures and colours to choose with exquisite details on each of its finely crafted piece.

Apart from creating my own designs, I also source products directly from artisans in India, helping them sustain a livelihood and showcasing the traditional techniques to an international market. I love my work and there’s such satisfaction in creating an item that has the potential to transform a room for a perfect stranger in another place…often halfway around the world.
