Welcome to Lavanya Coodly! We make all our own apparel beginning with a sketch. You will receive one of a kind, original designs created with the free spirited woman in view. We employ ethical, fair trade practices and source from women owned and managed enterprises. Our dyes are eco-friendly, non- toxic and azo- free. We work very hard to streamline our silhouettes and fine tune our tailoring to develop garments of exceptional fit and quality.
Born and raised in India and the United States of America, my journey took interesting twists and turns before I began designing women’s wear. Motivated by a love of natural fabrics, my first collection was launched in 2014. Since then, the collection has grown and is distributed by 75 retailers in 10 countries. Signature styles consist of silk tunics and evening gowns that are hand embellished with crystals, sequins, beads and thread embroidery.The artwork is modernized and adapted from centuries old traditional methods. Because women will always require well constructed garments for everyday wear, we also feature dresses, skirts, pants and tops from hand block printed cotton. A huge emphasis is placed on precise cuts, hand sewn details and good tailoring practices to achieve the perfect silhouette and fit. My goal is to make practical and comfortable garments to flatter all body type.
Recently, we started developing lines of children’s wear, menswear and accessories. We hope to launch them in Spring 2016.
